Growing the Circuit: Welcoming New Resources for New Jersey Families

The aging journey rarely comes with a neat little instruction manual. There is no envelope that arrives in the mail one day saying, “Here is everything you need to know for the next ten years.” If only it were that easy.

Instead, families often find themselves figuring things out as they go. A parent may be doing perfectly well at home until suddenly a little more support is needed. A home that worked beautifully for thirty years may no longer fit someone’s lifestyle. A family may begin exploring assisted living or memory care long before they ever expected to. Sometimes several of these conversations happen at the same time.

That is exactly why Senior Care Circuit continues to grow.

We created Senior Care Circuit to make it easier for seniors and families to explore aging resources, information, services, and providers in one place. We also wanted to create a platform where professionals serving older adults could be visible, share what they do, educate families, and become part of a larger community.

As our Circuit continues to expand, we are incredibly excited to welcome three of our newest members in New Jersey: Monarch Communities, joining us as a Statewide Partner; Kathleen Ann Jadoc, SRES®, a Senior Real Estate Specialist with Keller Williams serving Somerset and Hunterdon Counties; and Assisted Hands, serving families in Somerset, Union, and Middlesex Counties.

They represent very different areas of the aging journey, and that is precisely what makes their addition to Senior Care Circuit so meaningful.

Monarch Communities: Senior Living Options Across New Jersey

One of the biggest decisions a family may face is determining whether it is time to explore a different living environment for themselves or someone they love. It can be an emotional conversation, a practical conversation, or usually a little bit of both.

For some older adults, the goal is maintaining independence while eliminating some of the responsibilities that come with maintaining a home. Others may need assistance with everyday activities. Some families are navigating Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or changing memory needs and are beginning to explore memory care.

What we especially appreciate about having a statewide organization like Monarch on the Circuit is the ability for families to begin exploring options based on what matters to them.

Location may matter because adult children want Mom or Dad nearby. The level of support available may be the priority. For another family, memory care may be the reason they have started searching. Someone else may simply be planning ahead and trying to understand what senior living could look like before there is an immediate need.

Those are all very different starting points.

Aging is personal, and the decisions surrounding where we live as we get older are personal too. Families deserve the opportunity to learn, explore, ask questions, and better understand what may be available to them.

She is serving Senior Care Circuit families in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties.

A Seniors Real Estate Specialist has additional education focused on real estate needs and considerations involving older adults. That perspective can be particularly helpful when families are dealing with downsizing, selling a longtime family home, relocating, or considering a move connected to changing lifestyle or care needs.

The real estate piece of the aging journey is sometimes overlooked until a family is standing right in the middle of it.

Someone may decide that a large house has become too much to maintain. A surviving spouse may want something smaller. Parents may choose to move closer to their adult children. One of the things we talk about often at Senior Care Circuit is that aging support is not one size fits all.

Not every family is looking for senior living. Not every older adult needs the same type of assistance. Sometimes what is needed is support closer to home and within the community.

That is where having local resources becomes so important.

For families in Somerset, Union, and Middlesex Counties, the addition of Assisted Hands gives them another organization to discover as they explore services and support for themselves or an aging loved one.

Local providers often become an important piece of the aging journey because they understand the communities they serve. They are part of the same towns, counties, and professional networks as the families searching for help.

When a family begins looking for support, they may not even know exactly what category they should be searching for. They simply know something has changed.

Senior Care Circuit has always been about more than simply putting names on a website.

We are building an ecosystem around aging.
